OUR lakes
Created and designed by a huge fan of nature and fishing, Les Etangs de la Bassée is a tourist destination in Gravon, less than an hour from Paris. The park came to be in 2019 and grew quickly, now covering 34 hectares of lush greenery and nine lakes : Arôme, Idylle, Palmyre, Roselière, Atoll, Lagune, Wild and Lagon.
The waters of Les Etangs de la Bassée are inhabited by an extraordinary stock of fish.We work hard each day to maintain an untarnished biotope, offering an environment which is conducive to the growth and development of our fish. Our lakes are fed by water of extraordinary quality, through capillary action.
AROME lake
This lake is resolutely focused on pike. Standing 2 to 4 metres deep, it is also brimming with pikeperch and big perch, not to mention a very old line of dark black bass more than 50 centimetres in length!
You can fish on the lake from a rowing boat or a float tube, as well as from the shore.

idylle lake
This is one of the wildest lakes, with the presence of huge quantities of dead wood. Standing 2 to 3.5 metres deep, it is teeming with pikeperch, pike and large perch, as well as a small colony of enormous, very dark black bass measuring longer than 50 centimetres.
You can fish on this lake from a rowing boat, a bass boat or a float tube.
idylle lake
This is one of the wildest lakes, with the presence of huge quantities of dead wood. Standing 2 to 3.5 metres deep, it is teeming with pikeperch, pike and large perch, as well as a small colony of enormous, very dark black bass measuring longer than 50 centimetres.
You can fish on this lake from a rowing boat, a bass boat or a float tube.
palmyre lake
This is the property’s “Esox” lake, with an extraordinary stock of specimens in excess of 1.2 metres.
It is not uncommon to catch multiple metre-long fish on a single outing. Standing 3 to 4 metres deep, large pikeperch and perch also abound here.
You can fish on this lake from a rowing boat, a bass boat, the shore, a stand-up paddleboard or a float tube.
palmyre lake
This is the property’s “Esox” lake, with an extraordinary stock of specimens in excess of 1.2 metres.

Its banks are highly varied, some of them primarily dead wood and vegetation, other parts are made of gently sloping sand, not to mention the large reed beds which gave the lake its name.
The dominant species in this expanse of water is pike, although it is not uncommon to catch a handsome pikeperch or large perch there.
roseliere lake
Roselière is our smallest lake and also one of the shallowest, with an average depth of 2.4 metres.
You can fish on the lake from the shore or a float tube.

atoll lake
Atoll is one of our shallowest lakes, with an average depth of 1 to 3.5 metres. It abounds with black bass up to 55 centimetres long and huge perch of up to 50 centimetres, but also a colony of pikeperch!

lagune lake
This “lagoon” is an amazing place, where schools of white fish gather in the winter after swimming over from the connected Atoll Lake. As a result, there is incredible activity here, with frequent hunts by predator fish leaping out from the surface of the water. Black bass is the main fish here, but there are also many perch and sizeable pikeperch. With an average depth of 2.8 metres, it has a very rewarding shallow zone leading to a waterfall. Most people fish on this lake from the shore as it is accessible all the way round.

This “lagoon” is an amazing place, where schools of white fish gather in the winter after swimming over from the connected Atoll Lake. As a result, there is incredible activity here, with frequent hunts by predator fish leaping out from the surface of the water. Black bass is the main fish here, but there are also many perch and sizeable pikeperch. With an average depth of 2.8 metres, it has a very rewarding shallow zone leading to a waterfall. Most people fish on this lake from the shore as it is accessible all the way round.
Wild lake
This is the wildest lake on the domain as it has a lot of reed beds, a high bottom, a lot of grass which favours the well-being and reproduction of the fish and improves their natural habitat with the addition of a lot of insects.
On this lake, carnivorous fishing and carp fishing are allowed. It is full of several species of carnivores such as pike-perch (almost 90cm), perch (over 50cm) and pike (up to 1.15m). But also about sixty carp with sizes and weights that can reach up to more than 25kg. It is only allowed to fish with lures or fly fishing for carnivorous fish.
This lake can only be fished by float tube, kayak or with the boat provided by the resort. For the safety of our guests, we require that you wear a life jacket on all the lakes on the domain.
The access to the wild lake is paying: 15€/day per person, in addition to the price of your fishing stay (minimum 2 days on site). This pond has a walkway which allows you to see the lake from different angles.
