OUR SPECIES
The waters at Les Etangs de la Bassée are teeming with pike, trout, pikeperch, perch and black bass, although other species also swim in the Seine, the Yonne and the immense lakes of Orient Forest. You can also catch catfish and chub in our region’s rivers.
PIKE, PIKEPERCH, TROUT, PERCH AND BLACK BASS FISHING ON OUR PROPERTY
Fishing is only allowed here using lures or flies. Aside from that, the choice is yours: soft lures, minnow crankbaits, swimbaits, jerkbaits, Texas rigs, drop shots and even streamers.
Over the seasons, the fish’s behaviour changes, so it is important to be able to adapt by using different fishing techniques. This is where our guides/instructors come in handy, to advise you during your day trip or holiday here. You can fish from the shore, a float tube or a boat.

Fishing is only allowed here using lures or flies. You can also fish from a fully outfitted boat to make sure you don’t get lost on these immense lakes.

PIKE, PIKEPERCH, PERCH, CATFISH AND CHUB FISHING ON THE SEINE AND THE YONNE
Fishing is only allowed here using lures or flies. Other than that, like on the ponds at our property, the choice of technique is yours. You will have the option to fish from a boat on the Seine, its oxbows and its sand pits.
A quiet approach on a boat makes it possible to practice sight fishing. The water in these spots is translucent. An adrenaline boost is guaranteed! Here, you can also find pikeperch in the channel, where you can engage in horizontal fishing along the banks or vertical fishing.
